COMMODITY MARKET TREND - 04 OCTOBER 2013

BASE METAL WRAP: Copper fell after talks between President Barack Obama and U.S. congressional leaders failed to break a budget stalemate that spurred a partial government shutdown, eroding prospects for the economy and metal demand.

ENERGY WRAP: West Texas Intermediate fell for the fourth time in five days, trimming the first weekly gain in a month amid speculation that a protracted U.S. government shutdown will slow economic growth and sap fuel demand.

PRECIOUS METAL WRAP: Gold fluctuated above $1,300 an ounce, heading for a weekly loss, as investors weighed the prospect of slower U.S. economic growth as a partial government shutdown entered a fourth day and lawmakers wrangled over the debt limit.
